What is the meaning of the existence of cockroaches

Who does it not eat! No one will eat it! Besides spreading germs and being scary! What’s the point! Which biological chain is it in! Are there any natural enemies? Except for pesticides! ! !

Everything That Exists Has A Reason.

  1. Cockroaches do not eat anyone, but it does not mean that no one eats cockroaches; in fact, almost all less-specific insectivores eat cockroaches; cockroaches are the most popular pet feed insects. Anyone who knows a little bit has heard of the names of Cherry Red Cockroach and Dubia. For humans, although not as good as fruit flies, cockroaches are also good experimental animals. As for making medicinal materials, there may be an IQ tax component, and I don’t want to delve into this topic.
  2. Cockroaches do not spread germs. Being mechanically portable and spreading are two completely different concepts. You could well pay attention to the news, how many people are suffering from mosquito-borne diseases, how terrible are fleas, tsetse flies and triatomine bugs, and how about cockroaches.
  3. Although scary, not everyone will be frightened by these harmless little bugs. There are many people who ignore them. There is also a market for keeping cockroaches as pets. And obviously, other animals are much less phony than humans.

Fact About Cockroaches

Cockroaches act as decomposers of leaf litter and soil layers in the wild. Because they have almost no means of defense against enemies, they are keen to prey on cockroaches, from small ants to large cats. There are also groups of banner wasps and cockroaches that parasitize them; some groups of cockroaches can secrete unpleasant liquids or shrink into balls to protect themselves, but it is not common.

As a class of insects, cockroaches reproduce very slowly – they lay a small amount of eggs, only a dozen to dozens at a time – other insect groups, such as mosquitoes and moths, usually have hundreds of eggs at a time.

More importantly, the reproductive cycle is very long – at least several months to complete a generation. The American cockroach takes close to a year. Common insects such as houseflies and mosquitoes have one generation per week, and storage beetles such as rice weeds also have one generation per month. Not to mention reproductive machines like aphids.

The long growth cycle and excessive molting times make it difficult for cockroaches to survive to adulthood.

Cockroaches have poor senses and are not good at flying. Periplaneta can’t even control the direction of flight. The only advantage is that they are good at drilling seams, which makes them not easy to be captured by natural enemies in the wild with complex environments. Obscurity is their way of life.

Fact About Cockroaches

A few taxa benefit from a wider diet and climbing ability, and can survive in human settlements for a long time; most of the natural enemies of cockroaches in the wild are not encountered here.

Of course, these populations must be eliminated; because the human living environment does not need any useless creatures, not to mention some of them are alien species themselves. But it is meaningless to highly exaggerate the danger of cockroaches and sell anxiety. It will only be counterproductive to the work of controlling cockroaches.

Cockroaches are the easiest indoor pests to get rid of. It is impossible for cockroaches to flood indoors with not too bad sanitation.

As long as the sanitation is done well and some drugs are used appropriately and rationally as appropriate, cockroaches can be effectively eliminated. The focus is on cleaning. Earwigs, spiders, centipedes, gnats, geckos, and house mice are all natural enemies of cockroaches that can settle indoors, although they are not necessarily welcome in themselves.
